Install

Works with every agent the skills CLI supports.

npx skills add https://github.com/transilienceai/communitytools --skill osint
  1. 01

    Install

Run the command in your project. The CLI asks which agents to install for.

  2. 02

    Describe the task

Ask your agent for something this skill covers. It loads osint automatically when relevant.

  3. 03

    Review the result

The agent follows the SKILL.md steps, scripts and references bundled with the skill.

SKILL.md

The instructions your agent reads when the skill is triggered.

OSINT

Passive and semi-passive intelligence gathering focused on code repositories, developer footprints, and exposed secrets across public platforms.

Phases

1. Organization Discovery

  • Enumerate GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket orgs for target company name variants
  • Find employee personal accounts linked to the target org
  • Identify archived, forked, and deleted repositories

2. Repository Analysis

  • Map all repos: tech stack, languages, CI/CD, dependencies
  • Identify internal hostnames, IPs, endpoints, environment names
  • Check for .env, config files, secrets in current code

3. Secret & Credential Scanning

  • Scan current code with gitleaks / trufflehog
  • Scan full git history (secrets removed in commits are still accessible)
  • Search with targeted dorks (see reference/repository-recon.md)

4. Code Intelligence

  • Extract API endpoints, auth patterns, internal service names
  • Review Dockerfiles, CI configs, IaC for infra details
  • Check dependency files for version-specific CVE candidates

Output

data/reconnaissance/repositories.json # Repo inventory + findings
reports/reconnaissance_report.md # OSINT section appended
raw/osint/ # Raw tool outputs

Tools

trufflehog, gitleaks, gitrob, GitHub/GitLab search, gh CLI, git log

Rules

  1. Passive discovery first (search APIs, public pages) before any cloning
  2. Scan git history — deleted secrets are still in commit objects
  3. Check employee personal accounts, not just org accounts
  4. Document every discovered credential/secret immediately as a finding
  5. All output saved to {OUTPUT_DIR}/ per CLAUDE.md directory structure

FAQ

What does the osint skill do?

Open-source intelligence gathering - company repository enumeration, secret scanning, git history analysis, employee footprint, and code exposure discovery.

How do I install osint?

Run npx skills add https://github.com/transilienceai/communitytools --skill osint in your project. The skills CLI detects the agents you use and copies the skill into the right folder. For Claude Code you can also place the skill folder at ~/.claude/skills/osint/ (personal) or .claude/skills/osint/ (project).

Which AI agents can use osint?

Any agent that supports the open Agent Skills format (a folder with a SKILL.md file), including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Cline, OpenCode and more.

Is osint safe to install?

No partner security audit is available yet. Skills can run commands and scripts, so read the SKILL.md and any bundled files before installing.

A relentless interview to sharpen a plan or design.

Scan a codebase for deepening opportunities, present them as a visual HTML report, then grill through whichever one you pick.

mattpocock/skills

Compact the current conversation into a handoff document for another agent to pick up.

domain-modeling

mattpocock/skills

Build and sharpen a project's domain model. Use when discussing codebase terminology, writing or editing a GLOSSARY.md, or recording or editing an ADR.

codebase-design

mattpocock/skills

Shared vocabulary for designing deep modules. Use when the user wants to design or improve a module's interface, find deepening opportunities, decide where a seam goes, make code more testable or AI-navigable, or when another skill needs the deep-module vocabulary.
