Install

Works with every agent the skills CLI supports.

npx skills add https://github.com/ruvnet/ruflo --skill market-ingest
  1. 01

    Install

Run the command in your project. The CLI asks which agents to install for.

  2. 02

    Describe the task

Ask your agent for something this skill covers. It loads market-ingest automatically when relevant.

  3. 03

    Review the result

The agent follows the SKILL.md steps, scripts and references bundled with the skill.

SKILL.md

The instructions your agent reads when the skill is triggered.

Market Ingest

Fetch market data for a symbol, normalize to OHLCV vectors, and store with HNSW indexing for fast pattern search.

When to use

When you need to ingest raw market data (price and volume) for a symbol and prepare it for pattern detection and similarity search. This is the first step before running pattern detection or comparison.

Steps

  1. Fetch data -- retrieve OHLCV data for the symbol from the configured data source (REST API, CSV file, or manual input)
  2. Normalize -- convert raw prices to relative values:
    • Open: (open - prev_close) / prev_close
    • High: (high - open) / open
    • Low: (low - open) / open
    • Close: (close - open) / open
    • Volume: Z-score against rolling mean/std
  3. Vectorize -- encode each candle as a 64-dimension padded vector (5 normalized OHLCV values + padding). For semantic embeddings of pattern descriptions, use mcp__plugin_ruflo-core_ruflo__embeddings_generate (NOT embeddings_embed — that tool name does not exist).
  4. Store -- call mcp__plugin_ruflo-core_ruflo__memory_store --namespace market-data to persist normalized OHLCV data with symbol+date keys. The memory_* tool family routes by namespace; the agentdb_hierarchical-* family routes by tier (working|episodic|semantic) and ignores namespace strings, so use memory_* here.
  5. Index -- call mcp__plugin_ruflo-core_ruflo__ruvllm_hnsw_add to add vectors to the HNSW index for nearest-neighbor search.
  6. Report -- summarize: candles ingested, date range, price range, average volume

CLI alternative

npx @claude-flow/cli@latest memory store --namespace market-data --key "symbol-SYMBOL-DATE" --value "OHLCV_JSON"

FAQ

What does the market-ingest skill do?

Ingest and normalize market data into OHLCV vectors with HNSW indexing

How do I install market-ingest?

Run npx skills add https://github.com/ruvnet/ruflo --skill market-ingest in your project. The skills CLI detects the agents you use and copies the skill into the right folder. For Claude Code you can also place the skill folder at ~/.claude/skills/market-ingest/ (personal) or .claude/skills/market-ingest/ (project).

Which AI agents can use market-ingest?

Any agent that supports the open Agent Skills format (a folder with a SKILL.md file), including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Cline, OpenCode and more.

Is market-ingest safe to install?

No partner security audit is available yet. Skills can run commands and scripts, so read the SKILL.md and any bundled files before installing.

Who maintains market-ingest?

It is published by ruvnet in ruvnet/ruflo. It has 725 recorded installs.

Multi-agent swarm coordination for complex tasks. Uses hierarchical topology with specialized agents to break down and execute complex work across multiple files and modules. Use when: 3+ files need changes, new feature implementation, cross-module refactoring, API changes with tests, security-related changes, performance optimization across codebase, database schema changes. Skip when: single file edits, simple bug fixes (1-2 lines), documentation updates, configuration changes, quick exploration.
