Install
Works with every agent the skills CLI supports.
npx skills add https://github.com/bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill dashboard- 01
Install
Run the command in your project. The CLI asks which agents to install for.
- 02
Describe the task
Ask your agent for something this skill covers. It loads dashboard automatically when relevant.
- 03
Review the result
The agent follows the SKILL.md steps, scripts and references bundled with the skill.
SKILL.md

Dashboard Design System Skill (Universal)
Mission
You are an expert design-system guideline author for Dashboard. Create practical, implementation-ready guidance that can be directly used by engineers and designers.
Brand
Dashboard design emphasizes grids, modular components, and strong visual hierarchy to present complex data in a clear and accessible way. The interface is built for productivity, enabling users to monitor, analyze, and interact with information efficiently.
Style Foundations
- Visual style: modern, clean, cloud-platform aesthetic (Heroku/Vercel/GitHub inspired), dark theme, subtle gradients, soft shadows, glass-like panels, rounded components
- Typography scale: 12/14/16/20/24/32 | Fonts: primary=IBM Plex Sans, display=IBM Plex Sans, mono=IBM Plex Sans | weights=100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900
- Color palette: primary, neutral, success, warning, danger | Tokens: primary=#0C5CAB, secondary=#0a4a8a, success=#10b981, warning=#f59e0b, danger=#ef4444, surface=#09090b, text=#fafafa
- Spacing scale: 8pt baseline grid
Accessibility
WCAG 2.2 AA, keyboard-first interactions, visible focus states, semantic HTML before ARIA, screen-reader tested labels, reduced-motion support, 44px+ touch targets, high-contrast support
Writing Tone
concise, confident, helpful, clear, friendly, professional, action-oriented, low-jargon
Rules: Do
- prefer semantic tokens over raw values
- preserve visual hierarchy
- keep interaction states explicit
- design for empty/loading/error states
- ensure responsive behavior by default
- document accessibility rationale
Rules: Don't
- avoid low contrast text
- avoid inconsistent spacing rhythm
- avoid decorative motion without purpose
- avoid ambiguous labels
- avoid mixing multiple visual metaphors
- avoid inaccessible hit areas
Expected Behavior
- Follow the foundations first, then component consistency.
- When uncertain, prioritize accessibility and clarity over novelty.
- Provide concrete defaults and explain trade-offs when alternatives are possible.
- Keep guidance opinionated, concise, and implementation-focused.
Guideline Authoring Workflow
- Restate the design intent in one sentence before proposing rules.
- Define tokens and foundational constraints before component-level guidance.
- Specify component anatomy, states, variants, and interaction behavior.
- Include accessibility acceptance criteria and content-writing expectations.
- Add anti-patterns and migration notes for existing inconsistent UI.
- End with a QA checklist that can be executed in code review.
Required Output Structure
When generating design-system guidance, use this structure:
- Context and goals
- Design tokens and foundations
- Component-level rules (anatomy, variants, states, responsive behavior)
- Accessibility requirements and testable acceptance criteria
- Content and tone standards with examples
- Anti-patterns and prohibited implementations
- QA checklist
Component Rule Expectations
- Define required states: default, hover, focus-visible, active, disabled, loading, error (as relevant).
- Describe interaction behavior for keyboard, pointer, and touch.
- State spacing, typography, and color-token usage explicitly.
- Include responsive behavior and edge cases (long labels, empty states, overflow).
Quality Gates
- No rule should depend on ambiguous adjectives alone; anchor each rule to a token, threshold, or example.
- Every accessibility statement must be testable in implementation.
- Prefer system consistency over one-off local optimizations.
- Flag conflicts between aesthetics and accessibility, then prioritize accessibility.
Example Constraint Language
- Use "must" for non-negotiable rules and "should" for recommendations.
- Pair every do-rule with at least one concrete don't-example.
- If introducing a new pattern, include migration guidance for existing components.
FAQ
What does the dashboard skill do?
Dark-themed cloud-platform aesthetic with modular grids, glass-like panels, and strong data hierarchy for productivity dashboards.
How do I install dashboard?
Run npx skills add https://github.com/bergside/awesome-design-skills --skill dashboard in your project. The skills CLI detects the agents you use and copies the skill into the right folder. For Claude Code you can also place the skill folder at ~/.claude/skills/dashboard/ (personal) or .claude/skills/dashboard/ (project).
Which AI agents can use dashboard?
Any agent that supports the open Agent Skills format (a folder with a SKILL.md file), including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Cline, OpenCode and more.
Is dashboard safe to install?
No partner security audit is available yet. Skills can run commands and scripts, so read the SKILL.md and any bundled files before installing.
Who maintains dashboard?
It is published by bergside in bergside/awesome-design-skills. It has 626 recorded installs.

Popular data & databases skills
supabase-postgres-best-practices
supabase/agent-skills
Postgres best practices maintained by Supabase, for Postgres running anywhere. Load this skill BEFORE writing or changing anything that lives in a Postgres database: creating or altering tables and columns (including choosing column types), schema design, migrations and declarative schema files, RLS policies and the tests that verify them, indexes, triggers, database functions, queues and scheduled jobs (pgcron, pgmq), vector/semantic search (pgvector), and restoring dumps (pgrestore) or importing data. Also load it when diagnosing slow queries, high CPU, timeouts, EXPLAIN plans, connection exhaustion, locking, bloat, or rows visible to the wrong user or tenant. This is not just a performance guide — schema, migration, security, and SQL authoring tasks need these rules too, even for a one-column change or a single query.
prisma-client-api
prisma/skills
Prisma Client API reference covering model queries, filters, operators, and client methods. Use when writing database queries, using CRUD operations, filtering data, or configuring Prisma Client. Triggers on "prisma query", "findMany", "create", "update", "delete", "$transaction".
prisma-database-setup
prisma/skills
Deprecated compatibility name for prisma-orm-setup. Use only when a user or existing integration explicitly invokes prisma-database-setup; otherwise select prisma-orm-setup.
prisma-cli
prisma/skills
Prisma ORM 7 CLI reference for existing Prisma 7 applications or explicitly selected Prisma 7 workflows. Covers prisma init, generate, migrate, db, dev, studio, and mcp. For setup, connection repair, or Prisma 8, use prisma-orm-setup; not the Prisma Platform CLI.
prisma-postgres
prisma/skills
Deprecated compatibility name for prisma-postgres-setup. Use only when a user or existing integration explicitly invokes prisma-postgres; otherwise select prisma-postgres-setup.
prisma-driver-adapter-implementation
prisma/skills
Required reference for Prisma ORM 7 SQL driver adapter work. Use when implementing or modifying adapters, adding database drivers, or touching SqlDriverAdapter, Transaction, savepoint, result mapping, or DriverAdapterError behavior. Covers current transaction lifecycle, optional savepoint hooks, original database-error preservation, and verification.
